Fine you won i'll write on the blog and you better be happy about this because i just paused it at the part where they're trying to sneak this girl out of the hospital only the doctor covered her body with a sheet on her stretcher so all they see is a body outline and the good guys took the decoy and the doctor who is evil is going to "operate" on her while the people trying to save her and sneak her out are actually taking the decoy and they just got caught and AHHHHHHHHHHHH.
However if i don't start now something worse is going to happen and then i won't ever write on the blog. Soooooo i finally finished shirut! Whoot! Yeah the last couple of weeks were hell and i wanted to murder someone but i made it! There was a lot of drama in the hospital but what it taught me was that the job doesn't matter as much as the staff you work with. Some nurses were amazing and the rest i wouldn't care if they fell into a pile of horse poop. They threw us a goodbye party and the head nurse wrote me and the other bat shirut these cute notes, the beginning starts off saying "Dearest Sharona, we had no idea what to expect when you arrived but you turned out to be...insert some compliments here, idk i kind of spaced out at that point. But seriously she wrote that they had no idea what they were getting when i arrived, like what kind of first impression did i give them that they would think of me like some unpredictable thing? You may think i'm over thinking things however the person who wrote this didn't like me so much. how do i know? because while she would great everyone else with a hug and a smile she would just mumble to me good morning.
Anyway thats over with and I'm now supposed to start work at YTA as soon as misrad hachinuch decides to get their act together and give the girl I'm supposed to be helping a permit for help. I went their Tuesday and suddenly remembered why i didn't like high school so much. It was super weird not being a student there but i'm sooooo grateful it's over with. Some of these students need to get their act together. I went into a math class and some of the girls were serious, some refused to do the work and some were just interrupting the teacher as much as they could. One kept getting up and walking around and another started yelling random things in the middle of class and the teacher who couldn't control the class would just stop class to yell at them wasting everyone's time. The one who would contently yell told me i seemed really chill, i guess all the other people in charge would always yell at her to be quiet while i just stared into space and ignored her. I actually really miss math class. The rest of the day i was basically doing bat shirut work. Speaking of the new bat shirut she seems sweet and hard working but idk i kind of feel like these girls are going to eat her alive. However she had cookies and she offered me some so i think she can survive. Dr. Lisa told me to come next week tuesday so i have a week off and i have been using my time wisely by watching Kdramas until i get yelled at my parents to either clean my room, go to bed (idk why) or to go out with them to the market. IT'S VACATION LEAVE ME ALONE!
I helped my brother and sister-in-law move today and half the time i was just playing with the baby. They moved back to maalot dafna which is the neighborhood they've been living in since they arrived in israel. So at one point one of the movers asked me where Dina was (Dina happens to be Joelle's Hebrew name) however instead of getting up and trying to find her in the apartment i just yelled out "JOEY!" which totally confused the mover.
I told you guys about the bank but this entire week i've been stressing about the tuition and how i was supposed to pay it. My school sent me an email last week saying i had till the 10th to pay the tuition or i couldn't attend the school which honestly made me feel like i was being threatened by the mafia or some gang like "give us the money in week or you're dead" kind of thing. THEN I WAS WATCHING A KDRAMA WHERE THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED AND IT STRESSED ME OUT MORE CUZ I COULD RELATE TO IT! Yeah so they said i could pay by credit card or checks and since checks seemed like too much work i wanted a credit card but the bank didn't want to give me one so i'm stuck waiting for my checks to come before i can pay the school. It's all good i sorted everything out with the school so they won't send thugs after me to beat me up for not paying.
Oh so we have a new member of our family and his name is Steve. Steve is a toy caterpillar who i bought as birthday present for a friend from midrasha but i liked him so much i decided to keep him for myself. Tirtza you met him and put him on dukes head. The cats also seem to love him since they contently steal him from his stand on my desk and play with him, I keep finding him around the house. Even my mom got attached to Steve, she saved him from the cats this evening. And in case you ask, Steve is names after Steve Rodgers.
I also found Hello Kitty pasta and my dad bought it for me because he is the best.
I don't remember anything else that happened in my life so yeah. OHHHH right so the vodka thing, yeah i tripped on my way home after we had vodka at like 10 in the freaking morning because we are smart people and these two cute soldiers helped me up, like one of them actually took my hand and helped me up and the other one offered me bandaids which i stupidly declined. Then when i went to the hospital after the weekend i didn't want to be put in the nursery cuz before you change a baby you need to sanitize your hands with hand sanitizer which burns cuts! I asked my boss to switch and she said no even after i showed her my cut up hand from the fall and that is another reason i'm pretty sure she hates me. My skin is still healing after like a month, it's not bad but the skin is a bit hard and peely.
Ok i need to finish the episode now BYEEEEEE

New Developments
This is going to be a review of all kinds of stuff that happened after you left Juju, though my memory is terrible so if I miss some stuff then the others will just have to fill in the blanks!
Um, so we tried our fist alcoholic experiment... it was....interesting, to say the least.
Relli bought a bottle of Vodka and 7Up, Roni had a giant box of sour sticks and skittles and we had 2 trays of Popsicle moulds (stands...whatever they're called). So we separated all the skittle flavours into five piles and each of those was put into a full cup of Vodka where they then dissolved for a few hours. But it took so long that when they did dissolve it was 1am!! Anyway, we curled some sour sticks into the bottom of each popsicle mould, poured half an inch of skittle flavoured vodka over that, 7 Up over that up to the top and then they went into the freezer.
We tried eating them the next morning around 10am after breakfast but....they didn't freeze completely!! Then I find out we should have used coke instead....
The rest of the vodka is still in my freezer...by the way Relli, I forgot to give you your popsicle moulds back.
Ooh, me and Roni got more piercings ~!! Hehe, I love mine so much~
I got one in my left ear and two in my right, so I now have five piercings in total. I feel so cool. We tried tricking my dad into thinking that we had gotten tattoos as well but he could tell it was fake *pout*. We have to leave them in for another four weeks I think, I want to buy small hoops to put in when I can, too.
Oh! Have you been able to wear the green wig yet for your cosplay?? If/when you have the costume together please send pics, I really wanna see!!
By the way you have to see K-On! Its only 2 seasons and s1 only has 13 episodes, and the movie was so cute!!! The main character plays an electric guitar and once I saw a couple of episodes I just had this urge to buy one. So I've been doing a tone of research, Roni and her mom told me about several music stores I can check out. Roni tried to teach me a bit and how to read music so its kinda fun.
When you get back do you want to come with us to check out the stores? I'm too intimidated to go by myself, lol.
Today I bought a new "Convention Bag" my pokedotted one is tearing apart and I need something small to carry my essentials to conventions instead of lugging around several bags like I usually do, its cute too. (I'll add a pic later, I'm writing this at 22:15 so all the lights are off and I'm too lazy...)
Oh! I also bought the last thing I needed for my costume!!! So everything's ready, all that's left is for me to figure out how I want to do the make up. For some annoying reason it wount let me attach the photo....:( oh well, I'll send them through messenger.
I ordered a new blue wig because my first one got a bit messed up, I fixed it to where its manageable but not ideal so I'm hoping the new one gets here before the convention. I also ordered a red pleted skirt for my future Rin costume, which the blue wig will go with too.
By the way Juju, if you could go to a convention with us what/who would you cosplay as?
Which anime's would you want us to get stuff from for you? (Does that question even make sense??) Beside SAO obviously.
That's all I can think of this late at night, I'm so tired so!
Oyasumi!!

Pesach Troubles
So I was going to post this the other night, though it hadn't been written yet, but Juju beat me to it. I tip my hat to you (if I had one) Juju!
First things first, the Pesach Seder:
My mom, grandmother, aunt and I went to my uncles place and waited till 20:00 to start the meal...except we didn't. My uncle and his wife sat on the floor and did a condensed version of the Seder for the kids, thinking that they would go to bed after our first cup of wine, that plan was shot to hell. The three youngest stayed up till 22:30 while the eldest boy stayed up till the end around 00:30, which means all kinds of chaos happened and kept interrupting the meal. The second eldest boy fell out of his chair after the second cup and bit his lip, it scared the crap out of me, all this blood was pouring from his mouth and I thought he bit through his tongue!! No worries, he is okay now, just has a sore lip. The two youngest girls kept bothering these baby kittens my uncle has, they are still learning to walk and the girls were dragging them around, picking them up by the neck(not the scruff) and covering them with blankets. I wanted to slap them or their parents! If a child can't treat BABY animals gently or nicely then they shouldn't be near them till they can, I swear it should be considered animal abuse. I really do prefer animals over humans...
After the meal my uncle was feeling sick so he didn't come to our house for Seudat Shlishit Saturday, and just before Shabbat my aunt was throwing up so some virus was going around.

Rei, because of you I now want to cosplay as Kuroko and you as Kagami!! T_T I'm in a Cosplay frenzy, on my cos-planner I have 6-7 cosplays in different stages of Planned and In Process categories! I even made a list of all the wigs I would need to buy and the only reason I haven't bought them yet is because I'm broke and can't spare even 20 shekels *Sob*
Juju if you haven't seen; Kuroko no Basuke or Ore Monogatari then you really need to!!
I really wish I could wear pants, it would solve so many problems for me in regards to cosplaying male characters....
Monday. My mom and I were invited to my grandfathers to celebrate my B-Day, we usually have a meal while watching a movie...so that's what we did. We watched Goosebumps (the 2nd time for me), its a good movie but it lacks character development, so meh. Anyway my grandfather has this adorable cat, that used to be a kitten the last time I saw her, they called her Hidey because she likes to hide. When they found her she was really malnourished and hurt and she was partially blind in one eye, but fortunately they got that fixed and she's healthy and THE CUTEST THING!!! I spent almost 25 minutes just petting her and my Saba just laughed.
He always gives me money for my birthday, so when he handed it to me I said I'm really easy to shop for, all you need to do is get me a book. He said with his luck he would buy a book I already had or just bought. So I told him I'll give him my Bookdepository wishlist, lol, its kind of long XP (8 pages long...)
Tuesday. I left my dad's house Monday morning at 08:00 to catch a bus to the bus station, the whole time thinking I was going to be late because the bus schedule sign thing said 23 min for the next bus, and I wasn't sure if my mom and grandmother were already there yet or not. We were going to take a taxi from there to the train station because the bus takes too long, but then it showed up as we got there so we ended up taking the bus. So we get off at the mall and my grandmother and mom are complaining that its last stop is supposed to be at the train station, turns out that is true...for the 18 alef, great. So because they aren't young anymore we took a taxi that got us there in barely 3 minutes.
There is no train from Tel Aviv to Ashkelon so we took a train to Lod and switched to the next Train on the other side of the platform. I tried to take videos with my new camcorder but lets just say I need some practice, lol. But guess what?! When we changed trains we got on a...wait for it...a
Double-Decker train!!
It was so comfy and awesome, when you go through the door on one side there are stairs leading up to the top level, the other side is a hallway for the bottom seating area. Plus the air conditioning was on so it felt really nice
My mom's friend picked us up at the station in Ashkelon and we drove to the beach, but it was a bit of a downhill walk to get to it.
My mom and I took our shoes off and just walked in the water, it was so nice and cold and what does my mom say?
"That's it we are going to the beach!"
"We are at the beach!"
Then! The water washed further up the shore than before and tried to take our shoes with it! Haha, my mom started to yell at the water to stop stealing her shoes. I picked up two perfect seashells that i want to make into earrings and two smooth rocks; one was all black but it kinda sparkles and the other is a plain peach color. Then it got so hot we had to leave and head over to our hosts house to have a late lunch where we saw a HUGE cat that looked like a mini panther, I wanted to pet it but it was skittish *Pout*
Nothing interesting happened after that, we took a bus home that was an hour and a half long, I fell asleep the first hour and the next I know we entered Jerusalem.
Wednesday (Today). My dad and I were supposed to go to the Israel Museum, the one school took us to once, y'know with the apple core? I always remember that! But then I got really sick with a stomach virus so we cancelled. T_T I really wanted to go to...
This weeks been pretty boring really, I wish I could have seen all of you instead of everything else I've done. We definitely need to go to those stores Roni and they're called Kimmi Dolls. I'm so buying more of those! Can't wait till we are all together again!
So that's all for this post, sorry if it was depressing and boring, it was for me too.
Hope you guys had a better Pesach than I did, right now I'm going to drown myself in Pinterest stuff XP See y'all later!

Sunday. My mom and I took the day off to just relax and I took my time making Kunai props for my Sasuke Uchiha Cosplay. I also made a Shuriken (throwing star) out of old CD's my dads was getting rid of and covered it in black electrical tape so that the edges wouldn't cut me. I'm still trying to figure out how to make his shirt because it has a really high collar all the way around his neck.

Planets, Alpacas, and the Secret Code Word
How's it going everyone? Juliet here! :)
So... it's the end of the line. The end of the semester. It seems like it flew by so fast, compared to my pain and suffering in Financial Accounting last semester.
Some recent developments:
A few weeks ago, in my astronomy class, we were assigned to go out each night, for a little over a week, to look at the moon with binoculars, and write down which craters and maria we could see. The point was to see how much of the moon was revealed during its phases. It might seem really simple, but it actually took me over an hour to complete each night, since you have to look almost directly above where you're standing, which strains your neck, and write down minuscule details.
Anyway, each night that I went out, people were surprisingly interested in what I was doing. Every time someone passed me, they would say things like "That's so cool!" or "That's a great idea; the moon is so pretty tonight" or "Do you see any martians?" (Um, what? It's the moon, genius).
I guess to them, I must have seemed like an astronomy nerd who never leaves her dorm without binoculars around her neck. Well, sure.
So one night, as I was straining my eyes to look for seemingly non-existent craters, all of the sudden I hear:
"Hey, Juliet!"
I turned around, and there stood Creepy Charlie. Of course.
"That's cool, that you're looking at the moon."
"Oh, thanks."
He asked me if I was cold, and I said nah, I'm fine. (Okay, I was a little cold, but too stubborn to admit it).
He stood there awkwardly for another few seconds, and then said "Well, see you."
This other guy also approached me this one time. Looking at my un-jacketed torso (that sounds really weird, but I was just trying to find a creative way to say that I was only wearing a long-sleeved shirt, and no jacket), while everyone else walking around was wearing coats, he suddenly asked, "Aren't you cold?"
"Oh, no I'm fine." (I was just to lazy to grab a coat on my way out; story of my life).
"Well, good for you." He smiled and walked off.
Um, okay?
Another night when I was out moon-gazing, all of the sudden an ambulance parked right next to me, and a pair of paramedics rushed out with a stretcher. So I was just sketching the moon and totally calm as the police and paramedics kept rushing past me.
At one point, I noticed that two of the paramedics were just standing awkwardly outside of the dorm building . They asked me if I could let them in, so I did. I never found out what exactly happened, even though whatever it was occurred in my hall, but I'm guessing it was probably someone who drank too much.
-------------------------
As you guys know, I had to give a presentation in my astronomy class, on gravitational waves (basically the echoing effect of two black holes merging; I won't bore you to death with the details). I didn't feel extremely nervous, which was a little surprising. I think that I'm just getting more used to public speaking, since in most classes, the professors count your public speaking in class as part of your grade. So I've had to force myself to speak up.
I think my presentation went relatively well. I was slightly nervous that a short clip that I included in my slides wouldn't play, because some other students had long videos in their presentations (to cheat and reduce the time that they actually had to talk) that wouldn't play. So they just had to stand there awkwardly and say "So, just imagine that a video is playing."
Luckily, my short clip worked just fine. I also think my slides were pretty good, since most people used minuscule font that I could barely read. Why would you do that?
Also, I included a lot of PICTURES. And Juliet's patented color-fying techniques, of course. ;)
After all the presentations were over (everybody was practically falling asleep by then), we were dismissed. Anxious to leave, people suddenly reawakened with newfound energy, packing up their things with gusto and running out the door.
As I was also preparing to leave, the astronomy professor said, "Wait. If I call your name, please stay behind." I thought to myself "Oh, those are probably the people whose presentations were too short or something. Poor souls."
So he called out a few names, and I sighed in relied when he didn't call mine. And then he added:
"And Tresgallo."
Shoot. I thought I did well! Or maybe I'm delusional.
Three other people gathered around: A shy asian girl, Jack Diamond, (awesome name, right?), and this guy that's always complaining about loosing points on tests, and always begging for "partial credit" for answers. Like, seriously, one time he argued that he should get partial credit for circling TWO answers on a multiple-choice test, since one of the answers was correct. That's not how it works, buddy.
So after seeing that guy, I got really nervous, since I always assumed that he was struggling in the class, since he was always so vocally desperate for extra points. But Jack Diamond seemed like a good student, so I was confused.
So after we had all gathered (besides the one person who was sick that day), the professor told us that all of us had A's in the course, so we were exempt from taking the final.
Um.
YAAAAAAAYYY!!!!!!! :D
What actually surprised me is that there were only five of us in the entire class (including me) who currently had an A.
I was so happy after this, singing Queen's "We are the Champions" all the way back to my dorm (subtle, right?).
It was such a relief :)
-------------------------
Then today (Tuesday), I went to my astronomy professor's office to receive my presentation grade. After I took my slip of paper with my grade and was about to leave his office, I thought I should say some sort of goodbye, since it is the professor's last year of teaching, as he is going to retire next year. So even though I had mixed feelings about his teaching style (since he just read PowerPoints word-for-word, and was not good at explaining stuff), I said "Thanks for a great class!"
He smiled, and surprised me in turn by replying, "Thanks for all your smiles, and for being sweet."
D'aww, that was so nice of him to say! And here I was, thinking that he didn't like me, all semester.
Here is some background:
In astronomy, I had a cute, red-haired girl as my lab partner. She is what I like to call the "cheerleader type" since her voice and personality are so sunny and cheery that she just seems like she would make an ideal cheerleader. They are they type of girls who just seem to charm everybody. And a lot of the time, I come to find out that they actually did have a history in cheerleading. Go figure.
So anyway, I knew that my lab partner was one of these girls, because she just seemed to instantly charm everyone she talked to, including the professor (but not in a creepy way, if that's what you're thinking). After every class, she would say "Have a good day!" to the professor, and he would smile back and say "Thanks!" all cheerfully. But then when I said the same thing, he barely raised his head and just kind of grunted.
Now I can understand if this happened just once or twice- maybe he didn't hear me, or maybe he was just tired- but it happened almost all the time. He just seemed to light up whenever he talked to my lab partner, much like everyone else.
But anyway, one time during lab, we had to fill out this giant chart with mathematical calculations about the distances between different stars and planets, and their chemical components. My lab partner was in a hurry, so we rushed at the end to hand it in sooner, so she could go.
When we got our graded lab back, we saw a giant, red 80 on the front. 80??? What???
We then realized that in our haste, we had left one of the columns of the table completely blank, which had of course costed us a lot of points.
Both of us were really disappointed with our grade, and wanted to see if we could make it up (since the column we missed wasn't even difficult or time-consuming to fill out). So we thought about asking our professor if we could fill it out and receive some of the points that we had missed.
Then, I thought "A-ha! Now my lab partner can use her charms for good!" So I had her talk to the professor, hehe. And just like that, as soon as she walked over to him and started talking, he was saying "Well sure, that sounds reasonable! Of course I'll let you guys make it up."
So even though I was kind of mad at her for making us rush and thereby causing us to forget that one column, suddenly I was extremely grateful to have her as a partner. :)
So yeah, even though she seemed to be the charming one, I'm surprised that the professor actually did appreciate my presence in his class.
But anyway, this is what I got for my presentation:
YAY! :)
So after he said that nice comment as I was leaving, my whole opinion of him changed. Inside my head, I was thinking:
"Aww, he was actually nice the whole time! He was a good professor after all."
But then the other voice in my head scolded:
"Juliet, sheesh! You are so easily swayed by kindness, just like Anna from Frozen. That could lead you into trouble one day, if you're not careful."
"Don't worry, I already know to stay away from red-heads with sideburns, so I'm good."

In other news, classes are officially OVER for the school year! YES!!!
Today was my first class-free day, and it felt great. After going to see the astronomy professor, I went to a "stress-relief" event that my college was hosting. They had-wait for it:
A PETTING ZOO!
That's right! They had ducks, goats, chickens, guinea pigs, and puppies to hold. They even had a big alpaca, which was sooo incredibly fluffy and soft :)

I got to hold a duck, which was surprisingly ADORABLE.
Also, I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I always get tons of compliments for my Dragon Riders of Destiny shirt. Emma especially loves it; she says that she really wants to meet you guys :)
-----------------------
Lastly, my job at the bookstore.
I had my last shift on Friday, which actually turned out to be pretty busy, since all of the newly accepted students were visiting for the weekend. While it makes sense for these freshies and their families to buy souvenirs, it always bothered me that touring families, who had not yet committed to a college, would buy over $100 worth of merchandise with the school logo, from every college that they visited. So, is there son still going to wear his Emory sweatshirt if he gets accepted to Penn State, or is he just going to throw it away? Such a waste of money, in my opinion. And so many families do this!
It's funny, because when all of the school tours for prospective students was still going on, I often passed by tour groups on the way to the recycling bins. As I was hearing the student tour leaders go on and on about the "fun and excitement!" and all the "great opportunities!" that this school had to offer, I just wanted to stick my head in suddenly, and yell-
"LIES!" and run away quickly. XD
Not that I don't like this school, but there is a heavy amount of exaggeration in their descriptions of our so-called "utopia" which is actually filled with a bunch of over-stressed, sleep-deprived zombies.
Anyway, last Friday was extremely busy. I was mostly working by myself, since my co-worker didn't come until much later, and my boss was absent for some reason, with my least-favorite supervisor to temporarily replace her. He's my least favorite just because he is the least friendly out of all the other supervisors, and also doesn't trust me to not steal from the storage, for some reason. So I always have to ask him to unlock the storage for me so I can restock, instead of just letting me hold onto the keys, so I can go in and out as needed.
Parents of accepted students were buying heaps of stuff, and students were coming to buy their caps and gowns for graduation, so their was an unusually long line at the register. I tried to check people out as quickly as possible, while still making sunny conversation with them.
At one point, the line got really long, to the point where usually my co-worker/supervisor would log into the second cash register, so we can split up the line. But instead, Lang (my supervisor) got up from his desk, and just stood there, facing me, watching me check everybody out with his arms crossed, not doing or saying anything.
I mean, really. Why bother to even stop your work if you are just going to stand there and do nothing, instead of making yourself useful??
-----------------------------
But the main achievement of the day was that I had my first annoying customer.
This family walked up: A mother, father, and their daughter, with a huge load of merchandise, including a giant tapestry that I have literarily never seen anyone else buy before.
As I went to scan the tapestry, the mother asked "How much is that?" I scanned it and replied "$64.98". I was slightly confused that she had asked that, wondering, Didn't she read the price tag? but I just assumed that she didn't see the price tag or something.
But after I grabbed her next item, a hat, she also asked for the price. And continued to do so for each item. What, does she not trust our price tags to report the correct prices, or is she really just too lazy to read them?
When I finally got to her last item, a tank top, this time she didn't ask for the price. So I told her the price anyway, since I had done the same for all of her other items. When I did, she rolled her eyes and said "Uh, yeah, thanks," as if it was ridiculous that I was telling her the price. Um, hello, that's what you had me do for literally every other item; sorry for assuming that you wanted the same done for the tank top.
This was the first warning sign.
Then she handed me a 25% off coupon, which all of the students were given with their tour package, so this was no strange occurrence. The coupon discounts the most expensive item purchased. She emphasized that "We get a 25% OFF with this, okay? TWENTY-FIVE."
I just said "Got it" since I've already done this a billion times today.
But then she said "Wait, we were also told that we get a 10% discount if we say the SECRET CODE WORD. The website said we have to say dooley10. So we get the discount, right?"
I had never heard of using code words, or any other special discount for new students besides the original 25% off. None of the other students that day had mentioned it. So I told the mom this, and she got really annoyed.
"Ugh, but the website SAID SO! Right, Amanda??" (I can't remember the girl's exact name, so I'm using Amanda). Meanwhile, Amanda just looked really embarrassed, since they were holding up the line, and her mom was being loud. The dad was just staring blankly into space the whole time.
"We had papers that SPECIFICALLY SAID that we have to say the CODE WORD. We must have left it in the car. Don't you have the papers somewhere, Amanda?" Amanda nervously searched through her purse.
At this point, I would usually turn to my boss, Wanda, who would immediately figure out what the problem was. However, she unfortunately wasn't there, so all I had was Lane.
"Lane?"
"Hmm?" he replied, looking up from behind the computer.
"Do you know anything about secret code words for discounts, such as dooley10?" I explained the situation.
"Nope." He turned back to the screen.
Welp, thanks for the help.
Turning back to the irritated mom, it was obvious that she wasn't going to give in any time soon. So, instead, I decided to give her second-most-expensive item a 10% discount (since we only give customer discounts on the most expensive items, rather than a discount over all the purchases) to hopefully appease her.
So I said, "All right, with the 10% discount, here is your new total."
Looking at the total, she frowned, and said "But the discount is for ALL of the items, not just one."
I calmly explained to her that we only discount by item, and only give full purchase discounts to faculty and staff.
"AHHH! This is ridiculous! We get 10% off EVERYTHING!!"
"I'm sorry, ma'am. Normally, I would ask my manager about the discount-"
"YES, where is your MANAGER??"
"Unfortunately, she isn't here today-" at this, she threw up her hands, "but I can give you her name if you want to call her."
"YES, what is her name? This is an outrage."
I told her Wanda's full name. With a haughty sniff, she said "thanks," and walked off with two of her many bags of items, promising her imminent return. I apologized again, and the daughter sheepishly said "Don't worry about it; it's not your fault." Meanwhile, the dad seemed to wake up from his day dream, and said "Have a good day!" almost cheerily, as he collected the remaining bags, which made me assume that he somehow wasn't paying attention to the whole ordeal.
I fully expected the mom to come storming back in a few minutes later, but she never did. So I assume that she did call Wanda, and Wanda got the whole thing cleared up. What I expected that happened was that the discount was for the store on the other Emory campus, and they just incorrectly assumed it also applied here. Wanda is usually good at informing me of all the discounts, so that seems to be the most likely solution.
----------------------------
Well, that's about everything. I only have about a week left before I fly to Israel! I must one of the only people on campus to actually look forward to finals week, since it just means more time for me to eat and play video games. :) And pack, of course.
One last thing: There is one defining moment in my head, in which I clearly picture us as a unit, an exclusive group of friends. I don't know if you guys remember, but one time during lunch in YTA, the class was playing music on the computer, as usual, as we casually chatted by our desks. All of the sudden, a very familiar song came on. I started humming to it before I even realized that it was "This is War" by Thirty Seconds to Mars. What was funny is that I then realized that you guys had also started to exclaim "I love this song!" and humming to it. Soon we were all singing along to it. So now whenever that song comes up on my phone while studying, I think of you guys :)

So... it's the end of the line.

Shopping, Coconuts, and Other Unexpected Situations
Why hello again, Juliet here!
Wow, I'm so sorry that it has been such a long time since I last posted. I have accumulated a lot of stories since then, so this might be pretty long (you have been warned).
Well, where do I start?
First off, a few weeks before spring break, I was in a dire situation: I had run out of snacks. So, I finally decided to take the college shuttle to Target to re-stock :)
I decided to go on a random Sunday when I didn't have that many tests/assignments due the next day. So I got on one of the shuttles leaving from my campus and going to Target. On the shuttle, my roommate was coincidentally there, with her friend. As soon as I spotted her, I waved and said hi, sitting across from her. As I was sitting down, I suddenly felt eyes on the back of my neck. I slowly turned, and low-and-behold, who should it be but Creepy Charlie. ARRGH
Why was he here?? Why, out of all days, out of all the shuttles scheduled for that same day, did he end up on the exact same one as me?? So I nodded at him and sat down, taking out my phone to play Subway Surfers.
Suddenly, I got a text, resulting in me flying head-first into an oncoming train. It was from Lydia.
Lydia: CC. Coincidence? I think not!!
I looked up, and she was carefully not looking in my direction. I followed suit, both of us poker-faced as we texted each other.
Me: I know! What is he doing here??
Lydia: HE KNOWS
Me: O_O
Lydia: At least he didn't get up and come sit next to you. Imagine if that happened
Me: That would be extremely awkward.
Lydia: Ahaha it's either you're fated or he actually tracks you down. I think it's the latter.
Me: Either way it's weird.
Later that night, she told me that when she got on the shuttle and she spotted him, she thought "That's weird, what's he doing here? Juliet isn't even here." And then I got on, and she was like "Of course."
Anyway, so as soon as the shuttle pulled up to Target I ran out, since the next shuttle was set to leave Target a mere 10 minutes after our arrival. So I grabbed a shopping cart, sprinted across the store with it (even rode on the back of it, much to the mothers of innocent pedestrian kids' dismay), to the snack aisle. There, I just grabbed as many bags of chips as I could (including some organic and kosher popcorn, yum), and as I turn to the cookie isle, who should I bump into but yet again CC.
Upon seeing my immense load, he said "Whoa, are you throwing a party?"
I replied, slightly sheepish, "No, I'm just really hungry." *grabs an additional bag of chips*
We chatted briefly, mostly him asking when the next shuttle was scheduled to leave. I told him it was soon, so he took off toward the register.
Upon my own arrival to check-out, I had less than two minutes before my shuttle was scheduled for departure. I saw CC up ahead in line, already leaving with his bags. Meanwhile, I was stuck behind this lady, who seemed to have misplaced her credit card beneath a plethora of cough drops, and then after finally paying for her purchases, decided to join the Target rewards club or whatever, now searching for a pen to fill out a form. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
So I ended up missing my bus, and had to catch the next one 2.5 hours later. Oh well. At least I got to play Mario Kart 8 while I was waiting.
For some perspective, here is a picture of how many snacks I bought. No judgement, please; I was already receiving incredulous looks from all around the store.
When I got to my shuttle, I had so many bags that the shuttle driver said "Wow, I ain't never seen someone with so many bags in my shuttle before!" to which I replied "Well, I'm honored."
P.S. It has now been about 3 weeks since I got back from Spring Break, and I am out of snacks again.
What?
--------
So then, after midterms, came SPRING BREAK. YAY! No classes, no schoolwork- crap, well except for that paper in English. Oh well.
It was fun; I mostly spent time walking on the beach, working out, and watching epic marathons of a Spanish soap opera with my dad, up until the point that I could literally feel my brain dissolving.
My dad even helped me practice my driving, by allowing me to drive his car around. There was this one intersection that he said "Okay, at this next light, turn right."
"Okay," I replied, turning into the right lane.
"No, wait, what are you doing, I said right."
"I am turning right!"
"No, right, RIGHT! Oh wait, I MEAN LEFT! LEFT!!"
So we both grabbed the steering wheel and swerved left. Later he apologized, saying that he usually turns right at that intersection, so he wasn't used to turning left :P
Another driving anecdote: We were driving in his neighborhood, him telling me to avoid all the potholes. All of the sudden I saw a coconut lying in the middle of the road.
"There's a coconut on the road."
"A coconut? Don't drive over it"
"So what should I do?"
"Reverse and drive around it."
"Reverse for a coconut? It's a one-way street!"
"It's a coconut! You have to!"
I was laughing so hard as I was reversing and making a wide circle and disrupting traffic, just for a coconut.
-----------------
When in the airport leaving Puerto Rico, I had to catch a tram to get to my gate. When I got to the tram, the electric doors were closing shut. No, wait!! All I could think was I have to get on that tram. So I ran towards the closing doors. As they got closer and closer, the space between them decreasing, I got nearer and nearer, until-
I couldn't move. I opened my eyes to see everyone in the tram staring at me, with looks ranging from horror to amusement. I then realized: my head was literally stuck between the doors, while most of my body was still outside on the platform.
What should I do? Should I try to squeeze the rest of me inside? Retreat? But I found that I couldn't move in either direction. Meanwhile, the doors continued to close tighter against my neck and left shoulder.
Thankfully, the doors finally gave up and opened back up. I gratefully pulled myself in, rubbing my neck. A middle-aged couple asked "Are you okay?" the husband barely holding back a smile. I was literally that person who got their head stuck in a tram door. Yup, that happened. Well, whatever, at least I got on.
-------------
So, as you guys know, I had to turn in 30 art swatches with perfect colors and absolutely ZERO brush strokes. I spent over a month painting all of my swatches until I was satisfied.
When I turned them in, my art teacher looked at them briefly, and said "Except for these four, all of these are no good."
"All of them?"
She looked at me and said "Yep, they have way too much water."
Furious and determined, I grabbed my swatches and walked away. I crumpled them up into a ball and threw them out. Then I ripped out a clean sheet of paper and started anew. This time, I glared at my water cup, determined to not even use one drop of it.
Through my determination and frustration, I repainted each of the colors during the last 40 minutes of class. When I was finished, I grabbed them and showed them to my professor.
She looked at each of them carefully, using a special lamp to detect hidden brush strokes, and matched my colors to her color wheel. After a while, she gave them back to me, saying "They're all good." She looked up at my astonished face and smiled. "So didn't something just click all of the sudden? Didn't you feel a sense of peace after finally getting the colors right, with no brushstrokes?"
Well, actually, I was more experiencing feelings of death and destruction, but sure, let's go with that ;)
So I guess my determination worked. :)
Then yesterday, we got our paint swatches back, with our grades. Heart thrumming, I received mine, turned it over, and saw... 100%! A+!! WHAT!!! I was so happy :)

If you are still reading this, thank you for your endurance :)
What's next? Oh yeah, dorms.
As you guys may know, I currently live in one of the older buildings on campus. So Lydia and I wanted to move into the newer dorms, even though they are farther away from the quad. We were hoping for the nicest building called Fleming. However, for whatever reason the housing department gives people specific 60-second time-slots in which they are supposed to request a dorm, which are stretched over 3-4 days. So a quarter of the freshman-turning sophomores registered the first day, and then another quarter the next day, etc. So basically the people on the first day got first dibs on everything. I'm not sure how the time slots are decided; I think they are pretty random.
Anyway, Lydia and I got time-slots on the second day. Not bad, but not great, either. But by the time the people on the first day had finished, all of Fleming had been filled. :(
So we had to choose from the 3 buildings left over: Our current one (JRC), a slightly newer one that is a little far away (Murdy), and the building commonly known as being one of the worst (Haygood). My roommate and I wandered around like an old married couple going house-hunting.
So the second day, a few hours before our time slot, I wanted to actually see inside the dorms of Murdy and Haygood, before we made a final decision. So I visited Haygood, where a friend of mine lives, and took some pictures of her dorm to show Lydia later.
But then I went to Murdy, and I didn't know anyone that lives there. I was aimlessly wandering the halls when this random Asian guy suddenly walks past me, and goes into his dorm a few doors down from where I was standing. I thought to myself, Should I? Well, I want to see the dorms, right? So I walked over to his dorm and knocked on the door.
He called "come in", and I walked into his dorm, with him just awkwardly standing there.
"Um, I know this is really awkward and strange, but can I look at your dorm? My roommate and I are thinking of moving to this building, and I just wanted to see what it looked like."
He looked at me, and said "Uh... sure, I guess," and let me pass. I felt even more awkward when I saw how messy his room was, with his dirty clothes strewn across the floor. Meanwhile, he just stood there stiffly. He looked really shy and awkward, and I felt bad.
"Sorry about this, I know I'm really weird."
"No, its fine."
I engaged him in a little small talk, and then left. I had originally wanted to take a picture to show Lydia, but that was obviously way too weird, especially with his boxers all over the floor.
But anyway, in the end, we decided to move from our current room, Dickey 111, to....
Dickey 112.
Literally the next door over.
Well, whatever. It's a good location (I can leave for my classes that start in less than 5 minutes and still get there with 2 minutes to spare) and its all-girls.
On the plus-side, a bunch of people that I'm friends with are apparently all moving to bottom Dickey (since they also weren't on the first day, so Dickey is the next best choice if you are a girl). For some reason, top Dickey (where I am) was more in demand than bottom Dickey, so they are all in the floor beneath me. At least now I can visit them more often :)
-------------
Also, in English two weeks ago, we had to turn in what's called and Annotated Bibliography, which is basically a bibliography that you also briefly summarize each of your sources. So when I was writing mine, I couldn't find hardly any sources for my topic, so I just had to use about a sentence from each book. My room right now is full of film studies and analytical Shakespeare books. So I just had to derive as much as possible from each little sentence of information. I was sure that I wasn't doing it correctly, but I thought "Well, this is the best I can do", and I submitted it.
The next day, during English class, the professor suddenly interrupted us from our writing workshop, saying: "I just want to commend Juliet," (at this my head snapped up in surprise) "for going above and beyond in really explaining each of her sources. She really deserves 11/10 points for her bibliography." Everyone looked at me and clapped, much to my embarrassment. I couldn't believe that something I was even doubtful of receiving full points for actually gained me the highest grade for that assignment in the class.
--------------
For whoever got to the end of all this, thanks for sticking with me. It was a lot to catch up on, but hopefully I won't leave as much time between my posts from now on.
Have a good week! Happy Pesach cleaning!
~Juliet :)
For some perspective, here is a picture of how many snacks I bought. No judgement, please; I was already receiving incredulous looks from all around the store.
When I got to my shuttle, I had so many bags that the shuttle driver said "Wow, I ain't never seen someone with so many bags in my shuttle before!" to which I replied "Well, I'm honored."

I can't think of a tittle
Ok so I'm FINALLY going to write on the blog since it's been like forever. So first things first I almost became more of an adult and it was terrifying. I'm not sure if i told juliet but i went on a couple dates with this guy that Tweezers mom set me up with. Yeah it was random, she just said you want to meet this guy and i was like uhhh ok. Yeah so we went on three dates, he never read Harry Potter and he has a super long beard but he seemed cool. We ended up breaking it off after the 3rd date and my mom was the one that got heartbroken ( I was totally fine but my mom kept on telling me i have to kiss a lot of frogs until i find my prince charming which just grossed me out).
Anyway i have learnt my lesson yet again that i am not ready for total adulthoodyness with dating and stuff like that. I'd rather have a sleepover with you guys and bake weird things and watch disney movies until we fall asleep.
On Hufflepuff day i wore yellow and black and my hufflepuff scarf and tore my room apart trying to find my hufflepuff necklace which i lost, then my mom yelled at me to clean my room and guess what right after i got home from the con like 4 days after Hufflepuff day I FOUND IT! When i entered my office my boss asked me if i was a fan of the soccer team and when i corrected her that it was in honor of Hufflepuff they just looked at me so confused. I can't handle being with non-potterheads, only this year did i realize how many harry potter references i make daily. I also wore green, red and blue on the other pride days.
Guys i have to study for Hebrew but AGHEOUYWSNFVSYIASBNDFSHDA!!!! It's soooo freaking boring and i keep getting distracted! What i need is to study conversational hebrew better. The only thing i didn't like about the con was the language barrier. I met soo many cool people which i couldn't rant to and really fangirl with because i couldn't talk to them! That is my motivation to learn hebrew! So i can fangirl. Hey everyone has their own ways to get motivated, mine is a perfectly awesome reason.
Speaking of the con, Rely I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have enjoyed yourself as much as we did, since you don't watch anime. Batya had fun but she didn't get anything that was going on and i was worried she felt like an outsider sometimes but then we found cool jewelry so she was cool. Guys all in all i spent 400 shekels on the con and thats not including my outfit, TOTALLY WORTH IT! However now i'm stressing about a job for next year. I have decided not to do another year, even though the free bus pass to almost anywhere in Israel is the best thing that has ever happened it's too much. Thing is i know people who had such a difficult time trying to find a normal job and my hebrew isn't so good so i'm super scared.
At the con i met someone selling her drawings and i asked her what she used for the digital drawings and she told me about Intuos which is a drawing tablet AND I WANT ONE! I want to find a graphic design course as well and maybe web design but first i need a job to get money. UGH life is so annoying! Whats worse is that a mosquito bit my on my ring finger but right in the middle where the finger bends, so itchy!
Oh so shushan purim we were invited out to Joel's mother's place and my parents were so not looking forward to it. They made it seem like Rumpelstiltskin invited them out to tea or something. It wasn't bad though, i enjoyed myself even though there were plenty of awkward moments. I got to hold the baby who is so cute! She also invited her coisins who are french and thy don't speak english so one side of the table was the french chatting away and on the other side was the english speakers cooing over the baby. That was the entire meal, no joke. It was during that time which i wished i spoke japanese with rachel.

Almost Better!
So my cold is almost gone, I've actually been able to sleep a full night without waking up coughing my head off, yay me!
Although my habit of snaking is screwing me up what with all the candy and chocolate, right now I'm eating bamba so I guess I'm not doing too bad...
I'm really bored but don't feel like watching anything so I'm going to try cleaning my closet. By the way you should have seen my face when I opened my mishloach manot from Stacey, everything was packed in this thing:
One of my Final Fantasy posters tore, I almost killed the table T_T
Roni remember when we wanted to make those uniform school girl skirts? Well I found a tutorial for it and maybe in a month or 2 when I get some spare cash I'm going to attempt it for my Fem/Rin costume, basically I'm recycling my failed costume attempt from Icon, plus I just really want to make that skirt they're so cute!!
My mom wants to hang my swords up on the wall, I was kinda surprised...
On other thing that's pissing me off right now is that I still haven't received the package I ordered from Gearbest.com a month ago!!!
My dad got his package in under 3 weeks, so where is mine~!
I was on pinterest the other day, of course, and I found an awesome tutorial for making Kunais with a cereal box, wire, masking tape, a little bit of paper mache and spray paint oh and cloth or fabric for the grip. Here is the link to the video;
https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVf9ZFluQr9yFptA15JO-px1SVWuQcjGq
I really want to make them, even if I don't wear them to a con they'd be cool to make. Who knows maybe we can sell them, is that copyright? Hmm... We'll whatever, theres also a girl who made a shuriken out of an old CD;

So that's about it for tonight, I'm going to clean my black hole of a closet, so wish me luck and I'll talk to you guys later!!

Roni I finished both of the Sisters Grimm, can I borrow the next 2 this week? I really need to buy the series... Oh I need my glue gun back just in case Batya destroyed my swords, I did fix the one that broke at the con, its as good as new now. Rellie how are you? I wish you and Ju could have come to the convention! I'm going to see if there are any conventions in May, maybe well be lucky.

My life is a Bubblegum Potato
Confused by the title, well let me explain. Idon'tknowhowtobeanadulteverythingissoconfusingahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
There.
Ok so basically these past two weeks have been very...idk. Last week it was groundhogs day which my mother and i like to celebrate by telling everyone it's groundhogs day...yeah. We watched Groundhogs day (the movie) and then my mom had nightmares about it, i was fine. Shabat i went to the Midrasha and i met Ariella Wallfish there with Elana...Eliana? i forgot her name. I was there since two friends from the army came and we were chillen and it was fun. I saw my old Ulpan teacher across the road but she didn't recognize me i guess, i did change a lot from 9th grade. I also saw a black and white cat and called it Bruce. I walked to Arnona from Armon Hanatziv and almost every family i passed spoke english. we're taking over! Then on my way back it started to pour and i got soaked.
So work has gotten a little more interesting, haha no I'm joking but i did actually get work to do so i have something to do now, for like an hour at least anyway. We have a concert coming up so i have to get credic card details for people who want tickets and at first my boss told me only she and the secretary were going to deal with it but now they want me to call people and I HATE THE TELEPHONE WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME! One guy the secretary called and he said to call at 1 pm. So she gave him to me to call, i got his details then realized i didn't know where to assign him to sit since only my boss and secretary did that. They both left early and i was alone so i told him i'd call the next day to confirm it. They told me to choose a seat for him which was nerve racking but i called him and confirmed his seats and then i tried to charge his credit card and IT DIDN'T WORK! I tried 11 times with different end numbers because i wasn't sure if i heard him right but nothing worked! So i tried calling him back and his wife picked up and told me to call back in half an hour because they were in the car. I didn't, i just left then yesterday i avoided them. Today i got the guts and i called and got his details again. I told him 'I'm sorry for bugging you, have a ni-' then i heard the phone hang up....Please don't hate me i just made a few mistakes! Worst part is on the night of the concert i have to meet him and give him his ticket.
AND THEN I OVERCHARGED SOMEONE! i thought they wrote 320 so i charged that then i re-read it and thought it wrote 520 so i charged his card again already feeling guilty only to realize i was right the first time and it was actually 320 so i overcharged a dude 200 shekels and i couldn't reimburse him till SUNDAY! the guilt and ahhhhhh, i felt so horrible, WHY CAN'T PEOPLE WRITE CLEARLY!
Since i don't know how most things work in the office whenever someone calls with questions about the therapies and stuff all i can say is call back since the only reason i answer the phone is because everyone else is busy. Honestly it would be simpler to just let the answering machine get it since they could leave an actual message instead of having me tell the boss, someone called wanting something. Why do people mumble! or why do they call with crying babies or honking horns in the background. Dude i can't help you if i can't hear anything you're saying!
Oh so last week i went to pick up recycling from a all girls high school that donated it to us (for us to recycle and get money from, although it's more annoying then helpful. I have to sort though two large bags of sticky bottles and junk and then only get 20 shekels -_-). So i went with the secretary and the guard at the gate asked if we were looking in for next year. I told the secretary i was honored that he thought i was so young, i was in high school and she was my mom. She's 30 and she got offended and said maybe he thought she was in high school and i was the mom. XD
When i waited for my bus it was super packed so i thought i'd walk home and then i got two blisters (yay) so my feet hurt(and when i got home i found my sock covered in blood). And of course the days when i'm not wearing proper clothes/shoes or when it's raining is the day i'm sent out to run errands. I wore my boots which hurt my feet and i had to go to the post office, evil speedos and the market. The post office took forever as always and the lady i went to first said she didn't know how to help me and transferred me to someone else. So i had to wait till the second lady was done for her to help me and someone cut in front of me. Then she said her computer couldn't do the thing i needed so she had to show the lady i first went to how to do it and i had to wait AGAIN for her to be dome with someone till i got to be served (all i wanted to do was send 400 letters- if you send over 50 you don't have to put on stamps). I dropped the mail off at the office then went out again to accomplish my other missions.
Then speedos was nice but then i forgot the receipt and after i went to the market which all i had to do was buy milk but the express line, where people are only allowed to put 10 items but for some reason in that market people can't read or count so the express line is filled with annoying old people with 1000 items and 1000 coupons and arguing with them is pointless, took forever. Once a guy claimed that cucumbers and tomatoes counted as one since they were vegetables....seriously? Also i found a potato in the gum box. So then i walked all the way back from the market only to be sent out a third time to pick up the receipt and get something i forgot at the post office. So yeah my feet hurt.
A guy who works for us in the uk came and he gave us chocolate and since i'm the only one in the office i'm slowly eating it all.
Oh then Thursday night i saw Deadpool! The theater was jam packed with people and we got good seats luckily and i got to sit in between 2 soldiers. Ok one was my friend from midrasha but the other was a cute guy who laughed really loudly, too be fair everyone did because the movie was hilarious, but he clapped a lot as well. Anyway the movie was great but don't watch it with your parents, there are a lot of dirty jokes and naught scenes if you know what i mean. It got a little uncomfortable when they got naked and yeah....
OH i also saw a cute guy while walking to the theater with Kylo Ren's lightsaber (he's from star wars juliet) and i was smiling because the lightsaber was awesome (clearly it was a fake one, if it was real i probably would have ran away) and the guy saw me smiling and he smiled at me and we had a romantic geek moment. If i was batya i probably would have flirted with him but i'm not and instead i just walked on. Oh and i saw Eliana at the theater as well. Well to be honest i forgot my phone at the snack boothe and i ran cutting though people back to get it. The workers said they found a phone and thats when eliana tapped on my shoulder said hi and i said hi back slightly shocked to see her but too distracted to make small talk, then ran to follow the guy who took me to my phone and never saw her again...oops.
There was a cat at the bus stop filled with people sitting in the middle of the bench not giving a crap about anyone. It had this face like 'just try and scare me away, this is my spot'. Of course it was in the middle of the bench as well.
You guys think i wrote enough? XD.
There.

Art Angst and Awkward Encounters
It's that time of the week again...
'Sup guys, Juliet again! Here's the latest report:
First: Pretty trees!
So last week was actually technically one of my busiest weeks of the semester, since I had 2 tests, 1 quiz and one paper, all on the same week. So this week is much more relaxing in comparison; the calm after the storm.
Anyway, I had to do a watercolor painting with complimentary colors for my art class on Monday. So I worked all Sunday on trying to get it done before class the next day. I had originally started it last Thursday, spending over 3 hours on it, before realizing that I was using the wrong type of paper. NOOO!!! So I emailed my professor about it, asking if it was okay if it wasn't the correct paper.
Come Sunday, still radio silence. So I frantically (and sadly) restarted the whole thing from scratch, spending over 8 hours straight on Sunday trying to get it right. Finally, at 11:30pm, the police came to kick me out, saying that it was past closing. So I had to frantically run around and gather my things. But the policeman was really nice, and even offered me a ride back to the dorm. All the policemen here are really nice here; not sure why. Not that I'm complaining.
Sunday night, upon the completion of my piece, I received an email from my professor, saying that it was okay if I used the wrong paper, see you on Monday.

....
Anyway, here is the fruit of my labor. What do you guys think? I'll know my grade probably by next week, along with the grade for my other piece, in charcoal.
In other news, I had a funny/awkward encounter the other night. To set the scene: It was about midnight on a Thursday night when I attempted to throw away an empty chip bag, when I realized, to my dismay, that the trash can was stubbornly refusing to ingest the bag, so full of other food wrappers that it immediately ejected the bag upon its entrance, leaving me with a mess. So it was with a heavy heart that I finally accepted that it was time, at last, to empty my trash can.
Since I was studying with music coming from my phone at the time, I decided to take my phone with me, music still playing, as I took out the trash and recycling (might as well recycle while already abandoning the warmth of my dorm room). So I walked out into the hallway and into the common room (where the trash cans are located), in high spirits because a good song had just come on.
It turns out that I walked into an awkward scene. This couple, a guy and a girl, were apparently in the middle of a serious conversation when I walked in. As I got closer, the guy suddenly pulled the girl towards him, and they started making out.
Well, I came here with a task to do, so I continued on my path to the trash cans and started to sort through my trash. Besides, the other trash cans were so far away!
Upon realizing my presence, the couple broke away hastily, looking right at me. The guy started to glare at me with the intensity of a laser beam. But I would not be intimidated, darn it. It's called a COMMON room, the room of all the COMMON people in the hall. If you want privacy, go to your own dorm. So I calmly sorted through my trash while the guy continued to glare. I was not bothered at all; I had good music, and cardboard and plastics to sort! So I simply continued with my task, enjoying my music, finally leaving when my task was complete.
Another thing: If you want romance, I would choose a different location then next to the trash cans. Just saying: Week old pizza and rotten bananas does not seem like the ideal place to impress a girl, but maybe that's just me.
When I returned, my roommate said "Wow, you've got guts, Juliet!" I don't consider myself to be very bold, but I do intend to finish a task when I start it. Plus, it was very funny; it's hard for a guy to look intimidating when his hair is all messed up from his make-out session ;)
More art angst: Yesterday, we had to draw curtains with charcoal and pastels. While everyone else got started right away, I first sat down and just stared at the curtains, trying to find the perfect composition for my drawing. My art professor came by, and asked "Are you okay, honey?", just because I had been staring at curtains for over 2 minutes. Sheesh! Good art takes time, you know, and I need time to properly visualize my future masterpiece. I'm only slightly insane.
Also: In my art class, there are about 11 girls, and exactly one boy. Truth to be told, he is probably the only one in the class without any previous art instruction. But I admire his spirit: It's not easy being the only guy.
But anyway, most of the girls in my class have boyfriends, apparently. So whenever they go to the art studio to work on their piece for 4+ hours, their boyfriends tag along, and just sit at the table across the room, waiting for them. While this may seem sweet, the annoying thing is that the boyfriends accumulate, thus forming this boyfriend "club" in the corner, chatting amongst themselves. It reminds me of a parents' corner during little kid parties.
This is annoying for me, because:
a) the art studio is crowded enough already, and
b) I like working on art in quiet.
Seriously, why do they wait all day for their girlfriends? Don't they have anything better to do than to just sit there for over four hours? Go do homework, or study, or something. It's not like they get to talk with their girlfriends; they just it on opposite ends of the room, waiting for them to be finished. So yeah, it's sweet but a tad annoying.
Creepy Charlie update: Nothing much, just seeing him around occasionally. The other day, on the way out of the cafeteria, I crossed paths with him. We didn't really make eye contact, so I wasn't really sure it was him; all I knew was that I was grateful that I was leaving when he was just entering. When I turned back to see if it really was him, I was met with him also turning back, looking straight back at me. Our eyes met. This was very awkward, so we both turned away hastily. Well, okay.
Also, I downloaded Subway Surfers (remember, with Esti?) onto my phone last week. For some reason its a lot easier for me now. I played a single run for over an hour, and got the #1 highest score in the United States!! Diamond ribbon! I included a picture to document this proud moment. I competed against complete strangers who spend all their time playing phone games, and won!! HAHA!!! This goes under one of my life's proudest moments :)
Hope all is well with you guys, see you in the next installment!
~Juliet :)
P.S. Tirtza, I watched Akagami no Shirayukihime, if you didn't already know. Love it! But I keep on wishing that the castle will catch fire or a war will start, so that we can get some more action. Oh well.

In the Write Mind
Hey guys,
I'm in a writing mood, no idea why though. I have 6 or 7 fanfics in the making but I can't seem to get anywhere so that's why I thought of choosing random prompts from Pinterest and making mini stories. My favorite prompts so far are; "No, precious human, you are not the last," he said in a soft, compassionate tone. "You are the first".
The other is; Write about the dragon who rescued the princess from the knight. I have a small story for this one, but the other one is still plot-less.
I actually had a plot that came to me randomly when I was on the bus...though it is slightly demented and bloody. Okay so the main character (still debating on whether it should be a girl or a guy) and their group of four other friends were kidnapped by a sociopath or accidentally got involved in something dangerous and were taken for knowing too much, (cliche I know but that's all I have right now). Anyway, because of the trauma the main character suffered it caused them to develop a split personality, when they were rescued the police got involved but due to the main characters split personality they are unable to get much but seemingly unimportant, gibberish like riddles.
But, one cop/investigator sees them for what they are...hints, riddles. It was the main characters only way they could cope with what happened (What happened? like I said that's where it gets gory so I'll leave that out XP) (So I cant decide if I want the cop to be male and the main character female, or in reverse...Help?) I need to do some research on Split personalities.

That's all I really have at the moment so...yeah.
Oh! My games came in the mail todaaaaay!!!! YES!!
I now have to wait for one more game, after that I have the wig I ordered for my Zoro costume and the clip on earrings, I'm hoping they get here before the Con.

Here is the wig I ordered for Zoro, I love it!! Hope its what I get...
I spent 8 hours washing dishes and shredding cheese at work today nothing really interesting. I miss having the whole group together, I cant wait till you get back Juliet, remember us talking about going to the beach when we were in school? you still want to go? But maybe we'll take the train, I don't know why but I love trains, the old ones not the stupid light rail we have...
I'm re-watching Castle right now...
I'm sooooo soooo bored!!!!
Well I guess that's it, see ya'll later!!

Heartbreak, and I'M A FREAKING GENIUS!! :D
Hello everyone, Juliet again! :)
Several issues I want to talk about today. But first:
So I heard from my roommate that a girl sitting behind me in my philosophy class last semester had briefly dated this one guy, but he dumped her :( Anyway, now she was just very sad, and just wanted a guy who wanted to be with her, aww.
Then recently, she got all happy again because she apparently got a crush on this other guy, thus getting over her old heartbreak. My roommate and I were happy for her, and when my roommate asked who she liked, she said "Charlie".
.......
O_O
CREEPY CHARLIE??? WHAT???? WHY??!? Anyway, continuing:
So she went out with him and a bunch of friends, apparently. They got drunk, and apparently she confessed to Creepy Charlie her feelings for him. He told her that he had had feelings for her for a while, and they made out.
The next day, when the girl talked to Creepy Charlie again, he said that he never liked her, and he doesn't remember kissing her at all. Now she is, of course, very upset again. Jerk.
So. Make of that what you will. Moving on:
Art class turned out to be just as intense (if not more) than I had originally imagined. As you guys may know, for our last class had to have our charcoal still-life drawings about 60% completed by next class (which was this past Monday, yesterday). So I worked really hard on mine, getting mine done more like 85%.
When it came time for the second art class of the semester, we first had to each individually walk to the front of our room, displaying our piece, and have our classmates and the professor critique it. There were a handful of students who did not spend much time (if any) on their drawings outside of class, as they were still just pencil outlines so far. A girl who volunteered to be first was one of these few, and man, the professor just ROASTED her. She said that she didn't have respect for art, that this was unacceptable behavior that WILL NOT be repeated, etc., right in front of the whole class. I don't think that I was the only one who felt very awkward witnessing this. The few students who were yelled at held their ground very well, but I felt like if I was in their shoes, I would have probably been fighting back tears by now.
I went last (classic Juliet), and luckily the professor offered me a rare smile. When she asked everyone to critique it, right away this one girl said "That's your piece?" and I replied "Yeah..." and she said "As soon as I walked into the studio and saw it this morning, I started fangirling like crazy!" So that made me feel good. Of course, the professor had to bring me down by saying "But you are going to add detail to the flowers of course, am I correct?" Bahh. There was a reason that I ignored the flowers- there are so many! For next week, we have to have that drawing completely finished, as well as a complimentary color watercolor piece (that we haven't even started in class) completely finished. Too much work :( Oh well.
I also had my first astronomy test today. I'm not sure how well it went; hopefully I did okay. There were a lot of questions that were not on the study sheet, which is annoying. Most of the questions were essay answers. One of the questions was "What two elements are stars mainly composed of?", which wasn't on the study sheet. All I could think of was Hydrogen, but then Helium came to mind. I was like Helium? That's random. But I had no other ideas, so I just wrote it down. Afterwards I looked it up, and it turns out I was right!!! YESSS!!! Good job, brain. I have no idea how you knew that.
Right after this, I had a quiz in Shakespearean English. The professor read the questions aloud, and we had to write down the answers. The professor had just asked "Which character was added to the film that was not included in Shakespeare's written play?" when a guy walked in late. When he sat down, he raised his hand politely, and when the professor said "Yes?" he said "Bottom's wife!" The professor, annoyed, said "This is a QUIZ! You're not supposed to say the answer out loud!" and he replied "Whoops, sorry, I didn't know that we were taking a quiz." We all laughed a lot, and she had to come up with a new question.
Anyway, when she asked "What animal did Puck ride on during the beginning scene of Act 3?" I was stumped, not remembering Puck riding on anything. Lion? No, I would have remembered a lion. Maybe a horse? But I don't remember any horses in that scene... All of a sudden, the word "turtle" just appeared in my head. Just the word; I couldn't even picture Puck riding a turtle. Turtle?? That's random, I don't remember any turtles! But I don't have anything else, and I'm running out of time... So I wrote "turtle". When the professor read aloud the correct answers, and she said "turtle", I was like "I'M A FREAKING GENIUS!!! THANK YOU, BRAIN!!!!" These moments almost never happen to me, haha.
Side-note: My English professor is pretty funny. I always write down little things that she says. A few examples:
"Somedays, you just want to see things blow up. It will make absolutely no sense.. in the most beautiful way."
"He's a soul-sucking pit of weirdness."
Also, when she was grading our papers, she told us: "You guys are all doing really well. I'm impressed. But you guys have to stop doing well." When we were confused by this statement and asked her to elaborate, she told us that if everyone in a class is doing well, even if they deserve good grades, the administration gets suspicious of the professor inflating everyone's grades, to make his/her students happy. Then the administration might step in and either fire the professor or make the curriculum much harder, so people will receive lower grades. Apparently the whole point of Ivy League schools is to challenge students, and if you are getting As then you are apparently not being challenged enough. Stupid, I know.
Sorry for the long post, I just suddenly had a lot to write about (as you can see). Have a good week, guys!

Strange dreams
So like Rachel mentioned we hung out at my brother's place on Thursday. I held the baby for the first time and she fell asleep on me. She is so cute! Rachel sucks at taking pictures though so after i forced her to take some pictures she took a couple of crappy ones without telling me my hair looked like a hurricane hit it or that my shirt needed fixing. I took nice pics of Rachel and she didn't even have to ask. -_-. ANYWAY so let me tell you about a couple of the weirdest dreams I've been having this week. Oh by the way my cat has been slowly pushing me off my own bed. Oogie the fatso likes sleeping in the middle and on my pillow so I get pushed to the side. I have to fight him sometimes for my pillow and i woke up several times to him eating my hair and sometimes he even sits on my face in order for me to move in order to take my pillow. He's heavy and when you're half asleep he gets even heavier so moving his almost out of the question. It's nice when he sleeps on my shoulder, until i want to move. So back to weird dreams.
One night i dreamed that some army was coming to our land and we had to warn the king so i went with a group of people to him. He was sitting with his children in some ruins (it kind of reminded me of Masada) and he looked totally calm when we told him that an army was literally popping out of the ground. He asked his eldest daughter who he wanted to prepare to be queen what should be done and while she thought the younger daughter who looked like one of those creepy tiny evil people in animes. You know the tiny guys who look like kids who are actually psychopaths? Yeah so she came up and was like "i want to be queen." with a freaky look in her eyes. Scene changed and i was in a scene from the movie Hidalgo which is about a horse race. I was with a bunch of others but instead of horses we were on these ostrich-camel things and we started racing but we had to chase things as well as try and make it to the finish line (i don't know it was confusing). Anyway i was chasing a really fat zebra when a lion attacked me. I hid behind a rock while it was looking for me after it attacked and my ostrich-camel completely disappeared. The the lion told me he didn't want to hurt me he was just under orders from the evil princess to destroy everyone who is on the crown princesses side. So i hid and went to this place that looked like Beit Shemesh to someone's house and i told the old lady who i apparently knew that she needed to help me. So she gave me some food and a really large blanket for my journey which i was going to go on. I'm not really sure why i had to go on this journey i feel like it was a sort of finishing the race/ rescue the princess/ save the country from evil army coming journey. Then a friend from L.A. came with me and i had to convince her to leave her Shabbaton she was attending to join me. She did and we went to this ball where i over heard someone plot to harm the crown princess. I heard them coming my way so i freaked and ran out of the ball where this hot guy (i think he was an anime character and i feel like he was wearing the outfit the guy from SAO wears) stopped me and searched me because i looked suspicious running away from the ball he thought i had just assassinated someone and was running away. I told him i was just in a hurry and he could search me for weapons and i was wearing a long leather trench and he found a secret pocket while he was searching for weapons and i totally freaked out on him and if it was an anime i would have become a chibi and i would have been bouncing up and down in excitement for having a totally epic secret pocket. I think i almost woke up from the excitement. Anyway i left and we all met up to play video games while we rested up for our long journey ahead to save and help the crown princess from her evil little sister. I then woke up to Oogie's butt in my face,
The next dream i had was that i was attending a prestigious school and i was walking with others from a small village to the castle like building over these closed train tracks when a train came even though they said that no trains ever came there and soldiers came out and told us to all get in and we kind of just looked at them confused and then i woke up to find both Oogie and Duke had managed to shove me against the wall. If it wasn't for the wall i probably would have ended up on the floor because both of those fat butt faces like sleeping in the middle of the bed and stretching out. I wish i remembered more of that dream.
Another dream was that my oldest brother and i went to a small ball and honestly the first half i was just freaking out about makeup and i was running late and i kept going back in time trying to put on my makeup only to finish late so i'd restart and go back in time to try and go faster and put on makeup but i'd still be late for the ball. I hate that kind of dream but i finally gave up and i went to the ball with my brother, oh and the ball was on a ship i think traveling over land. Juliet you were there then disappeared to study i think. I think i planned on eating in the corner with Tirtza who also disappeared on me. I remember hanging out with someone who looked like Shiran then the whole going back in time thing happened again and I entered the ball room hall with my brother and we were both looking totally epic in matching Tuxedos. Yes i wore a tux to a ball but i had a really pretty silky black skirt with it not pants. Just letting you know i didn't go with my brother as a partner we just went together...yeah. Oh then i went to go eat and had retainers for some reason and i had to go over to wear the snooty rich guys were hanging out in order to find my case to put my retainers so i could stuff my face. That's all i remember.
I had more dreams but i can't remember them and i was too lazy to write them down. Oh well. I like how since i'm so bored at work my brain makes up for it by entertaining me at night. Oh and I started watching Durara! It's really confusing me but i get why you guys like it, they are so funny!
Ok so at work today two arabs came to fix the מזגן and i prayed to Hashem they wouldn't stab us, luckily they didn't, instead they were cracking jokes and they seemed to enjoy themselves. So my office is like three floors up and the guy climbed out of the window and sat on the מזגן thing outside while doing something to it and the secretary freaked out and she couldn't watch just in case he fell to his death. He made jokes about jumping and that she should just come to see how it isn't scary. Then he asked for coffee and she told him he wouldn't get any till he was back inside and he joked that he wanted to drink coffee outside on the side of the building sitting on the outside of the window. Then my boss gave them a bunch of candy i didn't even know we had and they showed us pictures of their kids and it was nice. Then someone knocked on the door and the secretary freaked out that it was them and they came back to kill us. Since i'm typing this they obviously didn't come to kill us though. The office smells like grilled cheese and i really want a grilled cheese sandwich now...
